Let’s talk about people who reach their fitness goals. Not only do they reach them but they maintain their new level of fitness after they have reached their fitness goal. How did they get there? What is their secret?
Does fitness have to change when you are 40 and older? Do your fitness workouts really have to change when you are 30, 40, 50 or older? Is it any different than when you were 20? You see many articles, blogs and videos stating that when you are older, more specifically older than 40 that your workout needs to change from when you were 20. This is a complete fallacy. Fitness workouts and programs change because you may have different goals or you might be bored with your current one. But it certainly does not change because you get older. This actually makes me laugh...
Today I am going to talk about how to lose weight, the process of getting there and how to keep it off. For the past week or so I have been looking at other blogs just because I wanted to see what other fitness professionals have to say about their own profession and their philosophies on fitness, nutrition, you get the idea. A lot of them were writing about weight loss journeys, what you need to do to lose weight, etc…
So can you lose fat and gain muscle at the same time? I see and hear this question a lot! People are still confused by this. I can see why as the answer really lies in who you are and what stage of the game you're at. What I mean by this is where are you in your fitness journey and or stage?
There was a time in the fitness and fashion world that having a big butt was not desired. And the goal was to look as skinny and slender(a word they used often) with a relatively small, flat butt. I know it's shocking but true. Thank goodness we finally stepped out of that trend(only took 40 years) and now we have big juicy butts..
I'm talking goals today. But not just any goals. Fitness goals. I'm sure some of you want to lose fat or gain muscle. Get a better booty. Whatever it is there is a method to achieving the goals you want. Not just fitness goals but any goal but of course we're going to discuss fitness goals..
This for all the women out there....I could sit here and tell you the reason you're not losing weight is because you don't have a solid plan. But those are not the real true reasons for weight loss failure....
